Naboo Monster Hunting - Raid Event

Naboo Monster Hunting - Raid Event

Today is the start of the new raid event called "Naboo Monster Hunting".  This is my first raid event in SWFC so I am going to keep this post short for now and may edit it later once I play more.

Bosses

The main objective of the event is to encounter and defeat raid bosses.  To encounter bosses you will need to enter the event page and click the "event quest" button.  You will quest like normal, consuming energy points, but every now and then you will encounter a raid boss.  The first attack on a raid boss will not consume battle points so make sure you attack at least one time.  If you don't take the raid boss down you have two options:
  1. Consume battle points and try to take the boss down yourself.  This is the strategy to use if you are competing for a top rank.  Special battle point packs are also rewarded to you for achieving certain raid boss kills and quest level completions.  Using this option will earn you the most raid points and will help you rank higher than if you use option #2 below.
  2. Ask your allies and legion mates for help.  After your initial free attack you are given the option to ask for help.  Asking for help is simple and quick.  Your active allies and legion mates will be given the option to attack your boss and hopefully kill it before the timer runs down.   The good thing about this option is you don't have to waste your battle points taking down bosses.  If a shared boss is taken down by an ally or legion mate you still get credit for the kill, but your score will be lower than if you took it down by your self.
It should also be noted that you can also attack other players shared bosses.  This is important so do it.  Similar to when you encounter the boss yourself, your first attack consumes no battle points so make sure you attack at least one time.  If you wish you can consume battle points and attack the shared boss again or you can just use the free initial attack.  When the boss is killed you will get credit for the kill even if you did not take it down your self!

Event Power Cards

Event power cards (sometimes referred to as raider cards) are special cards that have bonus attack and defense against raid bosses.  If you are competing for a top spot in the event then it is very important that you obtain as many event power cards as possible.  They are available in 3*, 4* and 5* cards.  Event power cards can be pulled from premium card packs or through silver and gold card pack tickets.  Event power cards are valuable and players will often trade their event power cards for more valuable regular cards.  For example, I pulled a 5* event card and traded it for two 5* base cards and two 4* evo max cards.  Event power cards lose value after the event so make up your mind now if you are keeping or trading them.

Check back later for more updates concerning this raid event!
