Card Evolving Guide
Evolving cards in STAR WARS Force Collection is an easy process, but can be a bit confusing to beginners. I've played MMO Trading Card games before and SWFC has a more complex system of card evolution than other games. If you are new to SWFC or just need a refresher on card evolution this guide is for you.
Evolving a card is simple. The requirements are having just two or more of the same card. What gets confusing is properly evolving your card and the different types of card evolution.
Proper Evolution
It is very important that you evolve your cards properly. An improperly evolved card will be lacking vital attack and defense stats. Plus an improperly evolved card is worth less (or nothing) on the trade market. To properly evolve a card each card you are evolving must be enhanced to the maximum level first. Please don't make the mistake of evolving your cards without first enhancing them to the maximum level!
Stages of Evolution
There are several stages of evolution that you will want to become familiar with. This is where beginners get confused so pay attention. The first stage of evolution is the card before it has been evolved. This is called a "base card". Two base cards evolved make an evo1 card. An evo1 card evolved with another card (base card or evolved card) is an evo2 card. An evo2 card evolved with another card (base card or evolved card) is an evo3 or evo max card. Once a card reaches evo max it can not be evolved again. Please remember that each of these cards (base, evo1, and evo2 card) must be fully enhanced before evolving or you will end up with an improper card!Types of Evolved Cards
There are several ways to evolve cards properly. You have probably heard cards being referred to as 4/7 cards or 8/15 cards before. 4/7 is the most common way to evolve cards because it only requires you to use four base cards. 4/7 means that four cards were enhanced seven times during evolution. To get a proper 4/7 follow these steps:- Acquire four of the same base cards.
- Enhance each of the base cards to the maximum level.
- Evolve two of the base cards into a Evo1 card.
- Evolve the Evo1 card (make sure to enhance the card again to maximum level) and a base card into a Evo2 card.
- Evolve the Evo2 card (again make sure to enhance the card again to maximum level) and your last base card into an Evo max.
Once again, four cards were used, and evolved seven times (remember the base card it's self is the 1st evolution) to get the Evo max card, and that is why we call it a 4/7 card.
A 100% truly proper card evolution would be making an 8/15 card, but it's so difficult to acquire eight different base cards that you hardly ever see an 8/15 card. The difference in stats of a 4/7 and 8/15 card are so small that 4/7 has become the standard in card evolution. I'm not going to even instruct on how to make an 8/15 card here because I don't want to confuse anyone.
